Gemini Day Spa is a new upscale destination in Maryville, IL, offering a wonderful day spa experience. We offer three ultra-chic, ultra-comfortable treatment rooms with the finest spa linens and equipment. We also offer facial and body treatments, like a Bioelements Relaxing Facial and PCA Skin Chemical Peel Treatments. Our day spa has the latest in anti-aging products and techniques but does NOT offer services on hair such as cutting, styling and coloring. In fact, for location, we prefer being located near hair and nail salons for co-marketing opportunities.

​The owner of Gemini Day Spa, Amber Johnson, is a proud resident of Belleville, IL. and a graduate of Althoff Catholic High School. After graduating, she continued her education at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL. Amber obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration while working for the United States Army to obtain real world experience. A year after graduating, she went on to get her Master's degree in Management from Florida Institute of Technology. After a few years, Amber decided that sitting behind a desk for the next 40 years of her life was not what she wanted to do. She wanted to be able to have the freedom of work and to spend as much time as she can with her son Kyle. So since she enjoys working with skin and people, she went to get an Esthetics degree from New Image Technological School in O'Fallon, IL. Although the two previous degrees may not seem ideal for the skin care world they actually help to enhance her abilities.  Amber was taught a lot about the business aspect of: How-To’s, planning, communication, relationships (business and customer) and a plethora of others. 

 

Amber has worked with the Pantene Total You Tour, The Ebony Black Family Reunion Tour, and the BET Black College Tour. These events lead her to work with some of the most prominent names in Hollywood today. Some of them include: Mc Lyte (Musical Artist), Jill Marie Jones (Toni Childs from the hit TV show, Girlfriends), Avant (R&B singer), Eva Pigford (from America’s Next Top Model), Tyrese (Singer, actor), and many more. She established her understanding of how to work professionally, in a timely manner, and most of all to a critical schedule.
